Meet the Owners
Meet the Owners
Hey everyone! We are Christopher and Shayla Gibson and we are the proud owners of Gibson Tax & Accounting! We have been happily married since November 1, 2023, and we have a rambunctious doggo, Lucy! We call Green Road, KY home!
Christopher is originally from Woollum, KY and graduated from Knox Central High School in 2015. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky in 2019 and recently earned his Master of Accountancy at Northern Kentucky University in December 2025. He works as the Administrative Director at the Appalachian Children’s Home and Bluegrass Foster Services in Barbourville.
Shayla was raised in Stoney Fork, KY and graduated from Pineville High School in 2012. She earned her Associates in Human Services and Business Administration at the University of the Cumberlands in August 2025 and is currently pursing her Bachelors in Business Administration at UC. She is proud to work alongside her husband as the Resident Care Coordinator at the Appalachian Children's Home serving the children that reside there!
We are so blessed to call Ferndale Pentecostal Church our home to worship the Lord! When we aren’t working or going to school, we love travelling and exploring new places! Last fall we took a weeklong trip to the Northeast visiting 13 different states! This picture was all the way up in Kittery Point, Maine! We have also recently found our love for cruising! The Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge, and Dollywood will always be our favorite places though!
We thank God for allowing us the opportunity to open this business and we look forward to helping you meet all your tax and accounting needs!
